Ring tree: what it means in pay per call

Ring tree: A routing setup that tries a series of buyers in priority or bid order until one accepts the call.

How it works in pay per call

A ring tree sends each incoming call down a ranked list of buyers. If the top buyer is capped, closed or doesn't answer, the call rolls to the next one. Ranking can be static (priority and weight) or dynamic (live bids).

Ring trees maximize fill rate and revenue per call, but they add latency. Keep a short ring timeout per buyer so callers don't hang up while the call hops. Ringba, Retreaver, TrackDrive, CallGrid and others support ring-tree or RTB routing.

Example

Example: Buyer A ($45, capped at 50 calls a day) is tried first, then Buyer B ($40), then Buyer C ($35, open 24/7). After Buyer A hits its cap, calls start at Buyer B, so no call is dropped.
