How we check prices
- Published on vendor site: copied exactly from the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown.
- Cited source (vendor docs): from the vendor's own help center or docs when the marketing site has no pricing page.
- Quote only: the vendor doesn't publish prices. We never guess.
- Not shown on page: a pricing page exists but showed no dollar figures when we checked (often JavaScript-loaded or gated). We re-check these first.
- Every price shows the date checked and a source link. We re-check pages on a regular schedule and log changes.
What we never do
- We never estimate, average or “typical”-ize a price. If it isn't published or cited, the page says so.
- We don't publish star ratings or reviews we can't verify. Reader reviews are moderated before they appear.
- Advertisers can't change prices, statuses or the order of tools in a table.
Corrections
Vendors and readers can report a price change. We re-check the source page and update the check date. Compliance entries in the compliance log link to primary sources such as the Federal Register, the eCFR, court opinions, the FCC, the FTC and CMS.
