Ping/post: what it means in pay per call

Ping/post: A lead-selling protocol: a partial, anonymized lead is 'pinged' to buyers for bids, and the full lead is 'posted' only to the winner.

How it works in pay per call

Ping/post protects consumer data and lets many buyers compete for each lead. The ping carries non-identifying fields (state, age range, product), buyers respond with bids, and the full record goes to the winning buyer.

Lead distribution platforms (boberdoo, LeadsPedia, Phonexa, LeadConduit, Lead Prosper and others) run ping/post, filtering, caps and returns. For calls, the equivalent is RTB.

Example

Example: the ping sends 'state=AZ, age=67, coverage=Medicare Advantage'. Buyers return $12, $15 and $9, and the full lead with name and phone is posted only to the $15 buyer.
