What changed

The FTC adjusts National Do Not Call Registry access fees each fiscal year. For FY2027, starting October 1, 2026, the fee is $85 per area code per year (up from $82), up to $23,425 for all area codes (up from $22,626). An area code added in the second half of the subscription year costs $43. The first five area codes stay free.

The Telemarketing Sales Rule requires sellers to use a version of the Registry no more than 31 days old. Each seller needs its own subscription; a telemarketer or lead generator can't share one subscription across multiple seller clients.

What it means for pay-per-call teams

Budget the higher fee at your next annual renewal; sharing a subscription across clients is not allowed.

Checklist

  • Budget the new fee at your next annual renewal
  • Make sure each seller client has its own subscription account number
  • Refresh your DNC data at least every 31 days (most scrubbing vendors automate this)
